| This is a 12-24 hour synopsis of activity and symptom feeling * since midnight* The main feeling I am having since last night, is headache and knee and leg pains. They both hurt but the R one seems to be more painful than the L one but the R one was just as painful and I found it difficult to walk without pain and walking to things. So then there was the vision issues which go with Oregon, Simi Valley and Big Bear CA as well as Japan over 6.0 * speaking of Japan just in at 5:22 PDT a 5.9 just hit off Ryukyu Island Japan. I addressed this symptom=event on my 11:55 PM Blog update April 14. Largest quake today *largest quakes today , since midnight. Well since the Japan quake that just happened, the largest quake since midnight has been Ryukyu Japan 5.9, there was one other one, just a bit over 12 hours ago which is the largest a/s to the New Britain PNG 5.4 . Quakes in the United States today, since midnight. There has been more quakes in W. TX several events, 1 in Central CA and one in HI. Small to Moderate quakes, Iceland, Azores, Virgin Islands, Straits of Gibraltar, Canary Islands, Portugal, Crete, Philippines, Chile and Turkey These areas had multiple events but all low magnitude. All locations where there has been a quake of 4.0 or greater in the last 12 hours. then since midnight we have had quakes all 4.0 in or greater in the following locations. New Britain PNG, N Peru, Banda Sea, Guatemala, Oaxaca, Mindanao, Near Islands, Aleutians and Taiwan. Location where I expect to see quake activity: Azores, Turkey, Tonga/Fiji, Oceania and the Dominos. Also watching for more in Canary Islands, and Straits of Gibraltar, Philippines, India/Nepal and AK. TX and UT/ID as well as the others locations I have listed. | The main symptoms I have been feeling today. Again I am feeling these same things, the main feeling I am having since last night, is headache and knee and leg pains. They both hurt but the R one seems to be more painful than the L one even thought x-rays show there is a bit of arthritic changes in the L knee. * Frogs 2:45 AM PDT* Means a larger water quake 6.0 or greater within 12-24 hours can be up to 72 hrs with major or maga quake. I also have had some rib pains both side which go with R side Domino Islands and the L side Is Oceania which Again the knees have been really painful and I have had some issues with walking. Usually it’s the L knee but lately its been more the R side. This confirms for me, its definitely a symptom and not medical condition. Walking is hard, the knees are ok, but just so sore. Still getting full upper back pains for Indonesia, as well as pain over the eyes which is volcanic in origin. There has been more L side neck pain in the last day due to more quakes in the Canary Islands. There is definitely some volcanic activity in the mix not sure exactly where since we have several volcanoes in eruption right now. We have 5 in Indonesia, 2 in Ecuador, 2 in Guatemala, 1 in Russia and 1 in Japan. Still have some symptoms that stump me. Loud UHF tones in one or the other ear, or both lasting from 5-25 seconds. N sounds have been really loud likely tied to the Japan quake a bit ago but it also with Kuril Islands. Just checked the quake list and the largest event I saw was a 4.3 in Taiwan so its just more of the same. .. A/S due for both the PNG quake of yesterday and the Japan quake for today. Largest a/s for PNG if not already happened will likely be on Wednesday PM and the Japan a/s should be Thursday to Friday. Frogs- 2:45 AM quake in the water at least a 6.0 or greater within 12-24 hrs. Occasionally it can be up to 72 hrs for larger events. R upper arm has always been Taiwan based on past experience, high on the R upper arm lasted for about 30 seconds on and off. Updated 3:15 PM PDT |
| EARTHQUAKE MEMORIES ELK LAKE WASHINGTON FEB 14, 1981 The quakes and events continued in the Cascades there had been more activity at St Helen’s and I also was feeling that there was something changing. Quakes in different locations were being recorded. I had been talking to the head of State of Oregon Office of Emergency Services in Salem. We met just before the major eruption of Mt St Helen’s. So I had shared some observations I had been tracking. I noted that before eruptions at St Helen’s and some other locations vehicles would stall. They did not seem to have any issues, just stopped working. This happened to me, in 1980 that’s how I figured it out. I actually replaced my battery two times before I was able to figure out that it was connected to the volcano and other major quakes. There was a battery plant in Salem and I went there to get my battery’s and they were also the ones who checked and told me that it was not my battery, it was something else. It seems that it was more likely the alternator. So that may or may not be the case. I was driving to Salem from Sacramento, with my room mate we were driving her Volvo. So as we neared Anderson on I-5 I would get symptoms and then again near Shasta and again near Weed and into the Summit and into Oregon. I mention this because each time I would react to an area, fault or volcanic area the cruise control on the Volvo would go off and have to be reset. So when we came back to Sacramento, I checked with the dealership and asked what makes the cruise control work? You can imagine my surprise then Oh.. it runs on magnets. So that’ explained it. So back to Harvey Latham it was Friday the 13th day of February. He was going to go to Portland on Saturday the 14th. His wife was flying to California he wanted to let me know in case I tried to reach him. We had been talking in his office in the basement of the Oregon State Capitol. I told him I was picking up WA, but it was different than the volcano as I was not getting back of head pains. So I said “ Harvey do me a favor please, he wanted to know what I needed or wanted, and I said “ which way are you going? He said “ We don’t like the freeway speeds and traffic so we will take the old highway 99 N… I was happy about that as it was the highway I wanted him to go. I said “ Please watch for stalled vehicles on the highway, remember I told you cars tend to stall before moderate to large quakes and volcanic eruptions in Washington” . So he agreed. I told him based on what I was feeling we were looking at 12-72 hrs or less. He agreed to call me when he returned. I waited for hours and he never called. So finally about 11 PM that Friday night I called Harvey at home. He picked up on the 2nd ring I said “ Harvey, you didn’t call me “ He said “ Charlotte, I didn’t know what to say” I was confused, and said “What do you mean? “ he replied, “ We were driving N towards Portland and all the sudden I saw a stalled car, I thought to myself, this is what Charlotte wanted me to watch for “ So he said “ we kept driving and there were more and more cars stalled. Some cars were along the edge of the road and some in the lanes.” I said “ Did they have their hoods up?” He replied “ Yes most of them” he also said his car was not affected. So they made it to the airport, and his wife got on the SW Airlines, he was waiting and he heard ‘ Ladies and gentleman there seems to be a problem with the plane and the passengers will be disembarking and coming back into the lounge to wait for another flight we are putting together for them. So Harvey’s wife was put on another plane and was able to take off.. Harvey drove back to Salem the stalled vehicles were all gone. So I thought, ok, he thought about calling me but didn’t know what to say to me. So I thanked him and told him my headache had gotten worse, my ears were hurting and a bit of heart pains and that whatever was going to happen would happen within 12-24 hours or less and it was likely to be close to water, based on what I was hearing. I had seen a few small events earlier in the month near Elk Lake and had told Harvey I wondered if they could be precursors, but I knew it was not anything to do with St Helen’s and we ended the call. Saturday, the next day came, and I was listening to TV it was also Oregon States’ Birthday so there was lots of good old footage etc. but I knew if there was an event, it would make the news. I was dizzy and my cats were roof sitting and the ants were all over under my answering machine. This was one of the places they seemed to like to hide. So I had just eaten lunch and all the sudden ABC KATU Channel 2 in Portland, broke to live breaking news and reported a moderate to large quake had just hit Southern WA. Near Elk Lake. The final report was it was Elk Lake Washington and it was 5.5 magnitude and was felt from BC to the California border it was a strong and widely felt quake. So from that point on, Harvey was a firm believer and later when I asked him if he would write something for me as to my predictions. He wrote a letter stating that I was his volunteer consultant and was more accurate as to what was happening in Washington and St Helen’s than the USGS.
