| The N. CA Geysers current numbers are at 283 quakes for 7 days. Only when we reach quake numbers over 200 events in 7 days, is there cause for concern. I have learned once we reach the 200 quake ceiling, a quake of 4.0 or greater event happening within 72 hrs *this can be inland or offshore* N. CA., from Eureka to the Bay including SF Bay proper, The Geysers and Sierras all the way to Central CA and Coalinga is almost a certainty. |
| 11:00 AM PST Good morning I guess the biggest thing since my combined 11-12 post yesterday is the over night quake near Kyushu Japan coming in at 6.9. I would have thought it was 7.0 but Tsunami link shows 6.9 No immediate reports of injuries or damage. Japan was one of the 4 areas I listed as where next but that’s been on going for a bit. The L shoulder blade is really sore but its not major. If I were to list where the pain is, I would have to say as of this time, 9:50 PM PST its on the middle and R side of my mid back which would be Indonesia and Kuril Islands. But when I turn to the L my L shoulder blade let me know it was still there that was a surprise. Really painful on the R side. Headache and earache.. the headache is across the brow bones and I have had some back of head pains so this says two things.. 1, there is something volcanic that building, and 2, its likely an eruption …. the full back Indonesia is blanket as to location but mostly I would pay attention to Sumatra, Halmahera or Sulawesi area or Flores, Banda or Molucca Seas. I can’t believe how much my mid back is hurting.. just sitting here is painful. The other thing is the ears, can be part of a larger water event but not 100% … I have to wonder if the Axial Seamount is coming to life?? Definitely volcanic . Several hours ago the L side earache of yesterday and the migraine headache once again connected to the quakes in Western Xizang … there were 2 moderate a/s The first one was 4.9 and it was followed one minute later by a 5.0 this one caused more damage to the already quake affected area. per CNN. Then I was doing some checking I see that the EMSC link I use for quake information shows the quakes at 5.1, and 5.1 as well as 4.3 & 4.3 as well as a 4.6 so not a good thing. Kyushu Japan has had numerous a/s as large 5.0 There has been some quakes in the area of Hollister again… so this continues my concerns about The Geysers area and possible larger event… The Geysers numbers are at 283 this morning. There were 4 quakes over night in the area of Hollister I have always considered that area part of the * The Geysers* group I watch but distance wise its a long distance. I am looking more at the patterns. So 4 quakes within a hour or two in this location cause mild concerns. This is about 26 miles from Morgan Hill one of the Loma Prieta Quake Zone areas I monitor. So this is all still nothing but quakes but it can also be part of a SLOW build up of activity. I am watching it closely. Some OR precursors showing up. The large ants had disappeared at 1 AM this morning * prior to the Japan quake * but now they are back. The dash ants have been down to 2 sentries but are starting to come back. Cats are fine all resting and quiet for which I am very happy. Will end this or now and will do a regular blog report later today as long as my computer and vision holds out.
