EARTHQUAKE UPDATE October 31, 2025

UPDATE: October 31, 2025 Synopsis and Symptoms Not a great deal to report today. I literally slept almost all day. I was exhausted after doing multiple errands yesterday. So was up at 6″:30 then back down up at 8:30 ate breakfast and then fed cats. I need to add here that the cars have been ” different ” all day. They usually run out of t heir room when I open the door in the morning and today they just stood there and then slowly they all came out they went into the living room and Merlin who seems to be most sensitive he ran under the sofa and that totally was not like him. The others came out and slowly they had breakfast and then Boots started pestering Merlin and then Baby hid in her box. Merlin came out and laid down for a bit.I slept till about 1:30 PM and Merlin woke me with his crying. I checked my email and texts and went back to sleep. Then there was the notification of the 6.0 on the SE Indian Ridge that hit at 1:53 So I am sure that Merlin was definitely reacting to something? Then a quick bite to eat and back down and sleep… till about 4:30 PM. Went out and filled my two carts with fire wood.. fortunately we have no kids in the area so no trick or treater’s at the door. Went back to sleep about 6 and slept till about 7:15 PM and then Merlin was in full mode zoomies, crying hiding and biting. He was so anxious he cried out so loud it sounded like he was injured. he was wild eyed looking at the wall, ceiling and corner of the room. I looked, really looked and I did not see anything but I have no doubt he did and was reacting to something. So ate my dinner and then took the cats to bed at 9:30 PM So no idea what he was reacting to but I am certain it will show up sooner than later. We still have multiple areas that are currently due to a/s from the recent quakes. * you can see the list at the end of the areas and symptoms portion of the blog * check the dates as some are not yet in force and others are just starting or have expired. Main symptom has been balance and intense sleepiness. Some quakes will cause you to get very sleepy and others will cause you to get very hyper. One of the early events that helped put that together was the Loma Prieta Quake, I call the LPQ Zone..a group of 3 specific areas there are more it these always are part. San Jose Morgan Hill and Santa Cruz CA. The temple to temple headache and achy chest pains, ears plugged and pressured but the intense sleepiness was the key. Every time I sat down for the previous day and the day of the quake, I would have to fight to stay awake. I had gone to see a friend who worked for the Construction Board here in Salem and told him that something was up… i was not able to give him a definite locations only that the symptoms included intense sleepiness and that was the areas of San Jose Morgan Hill and Santa Cruz the day was spent fighting sleepiness and headache etc and the quake 6.9 hit at 5:04 PM PDT…Mexico can also make you sleepy as did the 8.8 Bio Bio Chile event. Others have reported at times intense sleepiness before some quakes. Still no ants so I have to believe that once more they have been killed by the poison in their nest. So again I am not able to depend on the ants for back up as a quake precursor. Craving sugar and crbs at 5PM today Going on 11 PM want Popcorn. Headache: L side… Chile, Bolivia and Argentina and some other larger events can also cause the L side headache. Mexico Turkey, Indonesia and more. R side.. this is Alaska, Philippines, Iceland and Azores. There has been events in all of these areas within the last 24-48 hrs. There were a couple in AK that were over 4.5 and Iceland also had a moderate quake and then there were events in Philippines and Azores. The Temple to temple events are Northern and Central CA. Inland or offshore between Eureka to the Bay and SF bay proper. The Geysers are one of the areas I watch. There are many quakes every week at The Geysers, man made according to USGS Scientist David Oppenheimer. But over time I found out when the quakes hit over 200 events in 7 days a quake near or over 4.0 follows in Northern and or Central CA. Including the Loma Prieta Quake Zone and SF Bay area and more Although its primary connection is Northern and Central CA temple to temple headaches can and do go with most areas with added symptoms connected to a specific area. For Southern CA its center of forehead pains etc. Brow bone pains. This is volcanic in origin and includes Oregon and Washington Cascades , Sierras, Healdsburg, Cloverdale The Geysers, Mammoth Lakes, Bishop, Coalinga, Ridgecrest … this can include all the areas of volcanoes this includes Alaska, Indonesia, Mexico. Turkey Philippines, Russia etc… anything volcanism in origin. When an event is building the pain centers over the brow bones and can slowly have other symptoms show up that connect to a specific area. The back of head pains are always a precursor to an eruption. None in the last 24 hrs. Back Pains Mid upper back pains are Turkey including Aegean, Caspian and Ionian Seas Quakes in Crete, Greece and Dodecanese islands of both Greece and Turkey Syria including Turkey and Syria borders. The full upper back is Indonesia. This includes Nias, Sumatra, Java, Halmahera, Minahasa Sulawesi, Sulawesi and Banda, Molucca, Celebes and Flores Seas. Many of these locations have had hits since the last update. The mid back is R side shoulder blade is Kuril Islands… lots of activity there. The L side Shoulder blade pains is Japan and some quakes have hit there since the last update… The quakes can hit Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, Ryukyu and Bonin and Volcano Islands as well as Tokyo and Fukushima Again quakes hit in several of these areas since the last update. Honshu and Ryukyu and Fukushima to name a few. The mid lower back is R side Fiji and the L side Tonga Islands. These have both been hit by quakes in the last 24 hrs. Low back pains..this is connected to the Wasatch and New Madrid and Yucca and Simi Valley and Big Bear. There are many states that can connect to this fault system. Including ID, UT, AZ, OK, TX, NM, TN, MO, CO, AR, NC, SC, VA, NY, KS, OH, and IL. Ears Pains The L ear is China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India/Nepal/Myanmar. The quakes have hit all locations since the last update. This includes China Xinjiang and Xizang not sure on location in Pakistan as I really do not see much there but there was at least 2 quakes in Pakistan and then we had Hindu Kush Afghanistan and India, and Nepal and Myanmar. The quakes in Nepal near Tibet and India can be Nicobar or Andaman Islands and Myanmar. Then we have the R earache which is Taiwan, Leeward, Windward. Trinidad, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Nicaragua. Quakes in Taiwan and Leeward, Virgin Islands, Puerto Ric and Nicaragua all have shown Chest pains: ( copy of last update nothing new to add ) Achy chest pains.. OR/WA Cascades, Loma Prieta Quake Zone, The Geysers, Sierras, Mammoth, Bishop, Coalinga, Nevada… parts of Southern CA including parts of The Imperial Valley and Landers Quake Zone. Yucca Valley, Simi Valley and Big Bear. The sharp chest pains connect to S CA into Mexico, Mexico proper, Japan over 6.5 and Italy, Hawaii as well as , India/Myanmar, Nepal, Borrego Springs, Guerrero, Michoacan, Oaxaca and Chiapas and Jalisco… then we have the quakes in Baja CA MX and Gulf Of CA, <Palm Springs, Whittier, Pasadena and Burbank. * add sharp earaches both sides with these areas >* Both Hawaii and Italy also have chest pains and earaches. From last night many quakes have taken place from these locations So India, Myanmar, Italy, Hawaii, The Geysers, Sierras, Baja CA MX and the locations in Mexico of Michoacan, Guerrero, Chiapas, Jalisco, Oaxaca and Puebla R side chest pains. Multiple quakes in Borrego Springs, and Japan, Mexico and Hawaii as well as Italy and Baja CA M. All sharp chest pains. More in The Geysers, and Sierras including Nevada and Bishop and Parts of Imperial Valley. The R ribs The Dominos..this includes Tonga, Fiji, Marianas, Santa Cruz, Solomon, Vanuatu and Loyalty Islands plus 5 more. The L ribs are Oceania and this includes AU, Wales, South Wales, NZ both N and S islands and PNG including New Ireland and New Britain as well as Guinea PNG and Eastern PNG. ( L rib pains picking up later afternoon) Stomach Pains: The stomach pains can be sharp or achy some are both achy & sharp Sharp pains include the Imperial valley, Borrego Springs, El Centro, and India / Myanmar, Nepal. Achy stomach pains are WA/OR Cascades, Mt St Helen’s, Mt Hood, Mt Rainier, Northern CA, Central CA, The Sierras, The Geysers and Mammoth Lakes, Bishop, Coalinga. Alaska,Iceland and Philippines as well as Big Bear and Yucca Valley etc.the New Madrid and Wasatch fault. The Achy stomach pains also include .ID, UT, AZ, OK, TX, NM, TN, MO, CO, AR, NC, SC, VA, NY, KS, OH, and IL. Leg Pains: L side is Guatemala and Ecuador… this is pain in the calf, knee, and thigh pains the area of the hamstring The R side is Peru, Brazil, Columbia, Panama and Costa Rica… and their borders. Multiple quakes in Ecuador, Guatemala and Panama, Costa Rica, Columbia and Peru. BALANCE: As usual balance heads the list of discomfort for symptom. You get up and think you ca just walk into the other room and no it doesn’t work you find your self grabbing for the wall or furniture. I am seeing the value of a cane which I do not mind in the house but prefer not to use it out and about. VISION: Today it was not as bad as it was 2 days ago and even better than yesterday. The text on the cell phone was bad again t his afternoon Laptop still able to read and type. Cats: I covered the cats in the synopsis but will add that the cats can be very active before events.. and even though we did not have a local or major event noticed that at least one cat was sick today …. Ants: Sadly my ants are gone for now.. will let you know when and if they come back again. It was almost 3 months before they came back last time. No Spiders . No Earthworms Out of area reports. Solar activity: Nothing major on the report I read earlier but Kevin on SolarHam outdid himself with the Solar Picture. But there were according to him 2 small CME’s seen leaving the East Limb We are still in a holding mode. No solar wind at this time hitting us… Sounds and Frogs: Frogs still happening on and off all day. Still have no idea why? Others have also reported the frogs when they had not had them before Sounds of horn honking woke me this morning can’t be sure if it was dream, real or El Salvador? Dual tones continue with a slight build up today for Japan? Long tones for Mexico continue and The Short tones were affected by N CA and suspect it was the small 3.2 at The Geysers or 4.0 Nevada? SYMPTOMS: We are trying to do this another way… the basics are on each location and I will have this information on the updates.. I will only add my paragraph of what I was experiencing … HEADACHE PAINS: R side headache Alaska, Philippines Iceland, Azores ( Hawaii/Italy ) L side headache Chile, Turkey, Indonesia, Mexico and most Stratovolcanoes Brow Bone Pain This is classic that the pains that hit over the bones. ( can include eye socket ) Temple to temple pain Northern CA and all of Northern and Central CA to the CA/NV Sierras. Frontal center of forehead pains Southern CA including Los Angeles and Imperial Valley etc. Back of head base of skull pains This is always a precursor to new or on going volcanism. BACK PAINS: The mid upper back Turkey with connections to Aegean, Caspian, Ionian Seas & Dodecanese Islands of both Turkey and Greece, Crete and Syria. The full upper back Indonesia, Banda, Molucca, Flores and Celebes Seas. The mid lower back pains are L L side is Tonga Islands The mid lower back pains are R Re is Fiji Islands Shoulder blades pains: The R side . Kuril Islands can be either Japan or Russia. The L side This is Japan… can include may locations most often Honshu and Hokkaido. Wasatch and New Madrid… ID, UT, AZ, OK, TX, NM, TN, MO, KY, AR and IL. WY, CO, KS, SC, NC SC, and IL VA OH, VT, NJ, and there can be more. EARS: R side earache This connects this is Alaska, Philippines and Italy and Hawaii. Taiwan, Leeward, Windward, Trinidad, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Nicaragua. L side earache China, Pakistan, Afghanistan ,India, Nepal, and Myanmar. Both ears can go with some quakes in Southern CA and larger water or volcano events. CHEST PAINS: The sharp chest pains Southern CA into MX and into Japan over 6.0 and some large water events. Borrego Springs El Centro, Brawley, Oxnard, Long Beach, Rialto, Palm Springs, Whittier, Pasadena and Burbank, Then we have Japan over 6.0 and India, Nepal and Myanmar. Santa Barbara Channel and Santa Monica as well as Los Angeles greater area, Palos Verdes and Northridge as well as Anaheim area. The achy chest pains Parts of Cascades, Sierras, Northern CA between Eureka to the Bay and SF Bay proper The Geysers and the CA/NV Sierras as including Bishop, Coalinga, Ridgecrest, etc. Alaska and Iceland. Puebla * Puebla is always on the R side of the chest all is Puebla. STOMACH PAINS: The achy pains This is the area of the Wasatch and new Madrid including ID, UT, AZ, OK, TX, NM, TN, MO, KY, AR and IL. WY, CO, KS, SC, NC SC, and IL VA OH, VT, NJ, and there can be more. The ones like ID, UT, IL, AR, K and IL all cause seismic flu. Alaska, Philippines and Iceland and some of the Cascades. The sharp stomach pains These are mostly connected to Imperial Valley, to India, includes, Nicobar and Andaman Islands, Nepal, Myanmar, Tibet, Kashmir and Bangladesh …… RIB PAINS: Left ribs Oceania including AU, NZ, PNG NS the Kermandec Islands. New Ireland and New Britain, Eastern New Guinea PNG and Papua New Guinea PNG as well as the N and S Islands of NZ.. R Ribs This is the Domino Islands..Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, Marianas, Solomon, Santa Cruz, Admiralty, Loyalty, Marshal, and Vanuatu. LEG PAINS: L Leg pains Guatemala and Ecuador R Leg pain Peru, Brazil, Columbia, Panama and Costa Rica.
