| This is a 24 hour synopsis of activity and symptoms that I and others may be feeling Largest quake today *So far since midnight the largest quake today was a 5.8 in Solomon Islands part of my Dominos. The next largest quake was in Southern Xizang at 5.1, then we have 4.9 in Japan, 4.8 in PNG, 4.7 in Western Xizang and 4.7 in Honshu Japan. Quakes in the United States: Small quake 2.2 TX and 4.0 offshore N near Petrolia also a 2.2 and 2.9 for N CA.Small quake near Los Angeles, quakes also reported in WA, NM, UT,OK, OR and MO. Small to Moderate quakes* Quakes continue in Mexico, Indonesia, Taiwan, Chile, Hawaii, Argentina and Peru Oaxaca, Solomon, Guatemala, BC Canada, Japan, Molucca, Fiji, Vanuatu, Kuril Islands, Jan Mayan Islands, Flores, El Salvador, Azores, Canary Islands, Italy, Crete, Greece, Hawaii, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Kashmir/India, Peru Location of most quakes: In the last 12 hours Turkey has dominated the quakes lists and 3 quakes in N CA in the last 4 hours. Total quakes in Turkey since midnight the 11th is 155 quakes that’s a lot of shaking in less than 24 hrs. So Turkey remains on the top of my Hit List today. This does not even include the areas that lead up to Turkey with Central Turkey at 71, Eastern Turkey, 52 hits and Western Turkey 32 events. All locations where there has been a quake of 4.0 or greater in the last 24 hrs. Location where I expect the next quake activity: For the most part this list is still valid with a couple of additions this is where I do expect to see an increase in activity. Watching Turkey, Mexico, Imperial Valley,India and Nepal, Indonesia, Volcanic origin, AK, Philippines, Iceland, Etna in Sicily and Indonesia Xizang China, and Mexico. New Madrid area states include OK, TX, MO, TN,KS, VA, VT, IL, OH, NH and the Wasatch System. ID, UT, CO, NM * just added Joshua Tree CA to the list part of the Landers Quake Zone. It is not a definite prediction but the symptoms seem to be lining up and connecting with another sensitive in that area she confirms the same symptoms.* Will update this if I feel more specific data is needed. These do not have to be major events, but then there are some like Turkey, Indonesia, Mexico, New Madrid, Nepal, Tonga/Fiji and Taiwan where moderate to large quakes would not be a surprise. There are other areas but these are the main ones. California continues to shake but nothing major expected at this time. I am also paying attention to Iceland, Azores, African Plate countries and more. |
| The main symptoms I have been feeling in the last 8 hours. In the last 8 hours there has been multiple quakes in Turkey including Dedocanese Islands and Greece. Greece has had over a dozen quakes and has the same symptoms as Italy Sicily and Crete. The main symptoms I have been getting with these events is sharp heart pains and sharp deep earaches. Chile continues to shake and is combined with Bolivia and Argentina and at times Costa Rica. An additional bout of heart symptoms, low back and stomach pains and headache I have begun to question if this quake may not be closer to the Landers Quake Zone which includes but not limited to Landers, Yucca Valley, Ludlow, Bagdad, Joshua Tree and Big Bear. R ear suddenly plugged up about 3:58 PM, in the past this is a symptoms that goes with larger water events and volcanic eruptions. Based on recent quakes it could be either. There has been larger water events in Indonesia, off Taiwan, Japan, Turkey and Mexico,Imperial Valley, and even offshore N CA although so far the largest event so far has been a 4.0 This is just a confirmation that there is definitely a potential for a larger event. There was a micro quake 1.1 a bit over 5.33 miles from Eugene. They said Probable Explosion so more geothermal drilling. Notice a small increase in quakes in Crete Greece. Greece and others these are often along with symptoms determined to be precursor activity to Turkey and since Turkey is high on my list for potential moderate or larger quakes, then I would say its classic precursor activity. So continue to watch Turkey and the locations that seem to be connected. In the table which hopefully will be back up soon. Now getting R side earache,6:20PM this is classic for multiple locations. Taiwan, and the other locations in the chart, but also Philippines, Iceland, Alaska, and Hawaii. There is also for potential for more issues with the large water events that seem to be just a few days away, if the symptoms are correct. Frogs, and earaches and plugged up ears, and ant invasions and headache all point to large quake. Hopefully nothing on the West Coast. |
| EARTHQUAKE MEMORIES MORGAN HILL APRIL 24, 1984 6.2 QUAKE I had been living in Sacramento or about 3 years and had not been home so decided to drive up to see my family over Easter. We planned Easter dinner with my parents and my 3 kids at moms. I had no major problems driving the 535 miles it was a long trip but it was not too bad considering the Easter travel. So I arrived in Salem on the 22nd of April, Easter and was just setting down with the family to a good home cooked as only the way my mom could cook it meal. Suddenly my youngest son got sick and ran for the bathroom, he decided on only a lite dinner. * he is also sensitives but only to some locations * I was sitting there we said the blessing I learned from my grandmother, and were just beginning to eat dinner. The turkey was amazing and all the sudden I got this awful chest pain and mid back pain as well as temple to temple headache and oh oh comes to mind and tired, but I had just driven 10 hours so I had a right to be tired. I tried to eat but I had this nagging feeling this was a earthquake symptom. Before we could finish dinner the pain hit again, even worse than before. I knew what I had to do, I stood up went and washed up, grabbed a plastic container and put a few pieces of turkey and a slice of mom’s famous pumpkin pie in it. Walked into the dining room, and said “ I have to leave “ my family thought I meant to go somewhere to stay and said Your staying here aren’t you? I said No, I mean I have to leave, I have to go back to Sacramento Now. I could not believe the words even as I said them, I had been waiting years to see my kids and parents. But it was not a choice, I was on auto pilot as it were. I explained to them, I had to leave there was going to be a quake in Morgan Hill over 6.0 and I had to get back and warn them, I will call you.. So between hugs, tears and total disbelief I was leaving, I did. I stopped and filled the car with gas. We didn’t have cell phones so I always checked in via land line so promised I would call when I arrived no matter how late. I made it to Sacramento about 9-10 hours later, I drove pretty much straight through. At that time I did not have an apartment as I had, moved out of my boyfriends house and had not yet moved in with a lady and her husband who had some health issues but was ambulatory. So I pulled up at a service station across the street from the State Capitol in Sacramento It was 24 hrs, I went in and told them I had just arrived from Salem, and could I please park in their lot and rest till morning. They said it was fine, to park near the parking lot light he said he would keep an eye on the car so I could rest. So I parked at the corner of the lot in clear view of the office and under the parking lot light I think it was about 4 AM. I found a payphone on the lot and placed a call to my mom letting her know I was ok, I was aware it was very early there but I knew she would be worried. I told her I would call her that night. I went back to the car and had a snack, the turkey and pie were long gone. Grabbed a soda from my ice chest and dozed off. I woke to street noise about 6:30 AM. The sun was up and I went to the restroom and washed up and thanked the attendant. Then I sat in the car and sipped on the cup of coffee I had gotten from the vending machine and made my to do list. It was March 23rd and I had a lot to do. After a quick breakfast at Pancake Circus a Sacramento Landmark. I kicked back and tried to put my thoughts in order. The first thing was call Senator Montoya I had been talking with his office for a while. He was very interested in my predictions and symptoms for Mexico. So then I needed to talk to someone who had more pull, locally with media and I went to Assemblyman Tom Hayden’s office and he was out but left him a message with his office person that there was going to be a large quake in Northern CA within 12-24 hrs. It was about 1:30 PM when I went to his office I had just called the State of CA Seismic Safety Commission. I told them, and they had that “ okay thanks “ kind of attitude. I went to a meeting I needed to attend, and then I knew what I had to do. So after talking to the offices of Montoya and Hayden I met up with a friend and she said I could crash at her place till other arrangements were made we had dinner, I called Mom and checked in to let her know I was ok and that I was sorry I had to leave like that but to watch the news because I was sure that this quake would make the news. The symptoms started in earnest later that evening after 10 PM any doubts I had vanished after a fitful sleep, I was up at 6 AM and I knew what I had to do, I had breakfast and a cup of coffee, called KFBK Radio and left a message for my friend in the news room what was going to happen. I had been a guest on the station several times. Another cup of coffee and I looked at the calendar and it said Tuesday April 24th I knew it was now or never. I headed downtown for the State of California Water Resources Building. I had to get word to the State of CA, State Geologist, Jim Davis, we had a history and it was not good but I knew it was what I needed to do. To be blunt he thought I was nuts. When I had attended The International Earthquake Conference in LA in 1983, everyone put their offerings be it free pamphlets or products to try, on a table. After Jim went into the room I went in a few minutes later and all my earthquake flyers were in the trash can. So as I said, we had a history. So the State of California State Geologist was on the 16th floor of the State Water Resources Bldg. Now keep in mind I get so disoriented I can barely navigate above the 2nd story. ( When I moved back to Oregon in 87 we had a town house and until I got acclimated to the elevation I walked around with my arms out to keep my balance for about 2 months. ) So I walked into the building, and for the first time in my life, I walked down the hall by the elevators and carefully read the Escape Plan for a building, noting the exits etc. I took the elevator to the 16th Floor and found the office of the State Geologist of California, Jim Davis. I went in and asked to speak with Jim, he came up to the counter smiling till he saw who it was. I said “ Jim I just got back from driving in from Oregon and I need to tell you that there is going to be a quake, 6.0 or greater at Morgan Hill within 12-24 hrs or less”. He looked at me like I was crazy, and I said “ I mean it, I am serious, so he said “ Okay “ and turned around and walked away. Well I did my part. I walked out of his office and back to the elevator and there were two other ladies from another office who joined me at the elevator who I suspect were taking a late lunch. It was almost 1:15 PM so we got in the elevator and started our descent. All the sudden the elevator lurched and stopped and the lights blinked. I was amazingly calm, and they were screaming “ what’s happening” I said “ We are experiencing a earthquake in Northern CA , its over 6.0 , but it will be ok “ try to relax? I have no idea why I was so calm, and then about 45 seconds later the elevator lights came on and we started back down. It was slow but we got down. The doors opened and people rushed up to see if we were ok. I said “ What happened “ The person said We just had a big earthquake. I said “where” and their answer was it was in “ Morgan Hill “ No one had the official magnitude yet, so we were standing around the lobby, as someone had a portable radio and the report came in it was 6.2 .. so I was right, and I was vindicated. I heard later and had to smile at the image it brought to mind. Jim Davis on the 16th floor was sitting at his desk in his office chair when the earthquake hit and it went careening across the floor with him in it.. he never contacted me after the quake. But it was on record with Senator Montoya’s office and Assemblyman Tom Hayden’s office as well as the Seismic Safety Commission as well as Jim Davis all on record and my family … April 24, 1984 Morgan Hill CA. 6.2 1:15 PM. |
