| The Morgan Hill quake of April 24, 1984 It was almost Easter and I was in Sacramento and wanted to come home to Salem and see my parents and kids which I had not seen in some time. I made plans to drive up and was packed and ready to head out at dawn. I drove I-5 and it was not a bad road, I experienced the same symptoms I always did when I went through Anderson and Willits area and finally I was coming to Black Butte which was close to Mt Shasta. I could not figure out why I always got dizzy and experienced a instant headache each time I passed the mountain. That day there was a lot of traffic due to Easter weekend and I was looking at Black Butte and then it dawned on me, Shasta was covered in snow all the way to the base and here was Black Butte and it was just a dark gray rocky cone.. no snow. Then I realized it must be hot enough to keep the snow off the top so this vent was still warm. So if its warm then its ” active ” it can cause the symptoms I would experience when I was in that area, the volcanic symptoms I would experience when any of the Cascades were stirring. So past Shasta and into Oregon, mostly clear but some roadside snow. Made it to Salem in record time, most people were going the other way and the traffic mid morning that Sunday was only moderately heavy. I arrived at my parents in time for 2:00 dinner, and visited with the kids and helped mom get dinner on the table. My youngest son jumped up and ran into the bathroom and was sick, I was never sure but I believe he was reacting to the quake symptoms since he was not sick again and did not feel sick, everyone thought it was the flu but I had been picking up quake signals since I arrived in Oregon. It was headache and upper back pains and earaches and achy heart.. Northern CA? I ate a bit of dinner, my anxiety was getting hard to control so I calmly told my family I have to go back to CA now. My parents were hurt and my kids were not happy either, but I knew I had to go, it was not a choice this was one quake they would know about happening before hand. So I grabbed some turkey and a couple of pieces of pie and grabbed my suitcase and kissed my parents and kids good bye and left. I drove all night and arrived in Sacramento about 4 AM and fought sleep the entire way which is by the way, another symptom of the Morgan Hill quake. I did not have a job or a place to live so I drove down to the State Capitol and parked in the parking lot of the small service station/garage across the street from the capital and went in and asked their permission to park there under the safety of their street light. They said yes and I was welcome to use their restroom to wash up etc. I needed to be there as my plans were to go to the capital as soon as it was open and try to see Senator Montoya who happened to believe in my work. I went to Senator Montoya’s office and talked to his assistant as he was out of the office telling her about the quake that was coming. I left grabbed some toast and coffee and headed to another meeting I needed to chat with friends and get their perspective. I left that meeting about half way through and had a quick lunch and then waited trying to decide what to do. I knew I needed to see the head of the California State Seismic Safety Commission. I knew they were having their meeting so I kind of crashed that meeting and explained about the quake I knew with certainty was building. They said but ” we need time, magnitude and location and probability” I said I can give you time, magnitude and location and probability. They did not show much interest. Then I knew I needed to see State Geologist Jim Davis, and left immediately it was almost 12:30, time was short and there was not much time. I drove to the State Water Resources Building, it was a 16 story state building housing all kinds of offices it was almost 1 PM when I walked into the building and towards the elevators and then I did something I have no idea why and I had never done before or since. I walked over to the wall and looked at the escape routes from the building. Then I walked into the elevator and headed to the 16th floor. Bear in mind I do not like being above ground floor so this was a rare happening as I have trouble with balance above ground floors. I walked into the office and asked for State Geologist Davis. He knew me and there was no love lost and I am sure he expected me to have horns, but he was polite. I told him why I had come and that there was going to be a large quake in N CA within 12 hours or less at least a 5.5 or greater likely near Morgan Hill CA. I knew this because the symptoms were positive for that area of CA… the mid back pains the headache, earaches and achy heart pains. So he listened politely said thank you and dismissed me by walking away. I think he almost laughed but I am not sure about that as I left I told him ” when the quake hits you will remember this visit “. I looked at the clock it was 1:10 PM and left the office. I headed for the elevators, waited till the car arrived, walked in with 2 other ladies from that floor and was in route to the main floor. We stopped somewhere about the 12th floor to pick up another passenger and began our 12 floor descent. Almost immediately the lights blinked in the car and then the elevator came to a screeching halt. The ladies were upset and said ” what’s happening?” I said ” we are having a earthquake “they said where? I told them it was Morgan Hill and at least a 6.0 I was sure now based on the way the elevator reacted. I knew that the elevator was not the best place to be. But about 5 minutes of just waiting, scared, yes I too was scared, because any minute the brakes on the elevator could be affected and we would plummet to our death, the elevator was once again moving. It was slow but we made it to the first floor and when the door opened people rushed up and asked if we were ok. They asked if we had felt the earthquake. I said No but I was sure that is what had caused the elevator to stop and that I was sure the quake was at least a 6.0 and it was in Morgan Hill CA. I recall as I was leaving wondering what Jim Davis thought when the quake hit? For the record it was Morgan Hill CA and it was 6.2 and it hit at 1:15 PM just as we had started our descent in the elevator. I heard later that he was in his office chair when the quake hit and the chair rolled clear across the floor with him in it.. I smiled. <END> |
| The N. CA Geysers current numbers are at The Geysers 433 quakes in just 7 day Only when we reach quake numbers over 200 events in 7 days, is there cause for concern. I have learned once we reach the 200 quake ceiling, a quake of 4.0 or greater event happening within 72 hrs *this can be inland or offshore* N. CA., from Eureka to the Bay including SF Bay proper, The Geysers and Sierras all the way to Central CA and Coalinga is almost a certainty. |
| NEW TIMELINE for a major quake 7.0 or greater . NEW TIMELINE for a major quake 7.0 or greater . April 22- April 29, 2025. Obviously nothing is set in stone but going back to the major quakes of over a hundred years ago no major quakes have hit outside of the timelines. Some times there will be a 6.5+ but I can’t count them unless they are at least 7.0 I use the Tsunami Warning Center in AK as the final word on any questions as to magnitude. Sometimes the timelines will have a space of a few days and many times they run back to back, With the recent activity I would expect a back to back timeline so watching for my alerts. |

| Cats, Ants Spiders Worms and Observations: Cats: Merlin has been really anxious most all day. He cried and ran around for almost 2 hours earlier today. He was back at scratching and biting. Catnip toys helped him and with a few treats he finally went to sleep. he started again this evening and it lasted for about a hour and then it was bed time. I heard from contact in AZ she reports her cats acting up and Molly trying to climb very high again. Ants: The dash ants are no where to be seen. The mid size ants are hanging around. I counted about 2 dozen late this afternoon. Spiders: No spiders seen Earthworms: No worm reported. Observations: NOTE: A man came to the door today wanted to spray for spiders he said that the company had been receiving calls from my area and several of my neighbors had hired them to spray… Not for spiders. They are reporting major ant invasions at least a dozen homes around my area. I tried to train him with a crash course on the value of ants and even spiders * for Oregon * as earthquake precursors or warning systems. | Symptoms and Locations: Balance/Dizziness: So balance was bad today and at least 3 others beside myself also using the Meclizine to be able to navigate safely Its been pretty rocky all day Headache: The headache is mostly frontal and L side today. It connects with Turkey and the R side is still more for the Philippines and even Alaska, Iceland and Azores. The quakes in Indonesia can cause migraine all over pain symptoms. No back of head pains so no harmonics at this time. Chile, Indonesia, Mexico, and parts of Southern CA into Mexico. Temple to temple is Northern and Central CA. Most volcanic and geothermal events will cause pressure headaches. Back pains: The mid upper back pains are connected to Turkey which can include Aegean, Caspian, Ionian Seas as well as the Dodecanese Islands of both Turkey and Greece. Crete and Syria as well as Gulf of Aden can all be precursors for Turkey. Turkey has had so many a/s the activity and the symptoms continue. Some times the center mid upper back pains are a tied to Central CA activity which I refer to as the Loma Prieta Quake Zone.. The full upper back pains are Indonesia and can include all of the volcanoes as well as the quakes.. including the Banda, Flores, Molucca and Celebes Seas. There has lots of recent quakes in Indonesia and at last 2-4 volcanoes erupting daily. Mid lower back pains are L side Tonga and R side Fiji and today there has been multiple quakes in both Tonga as well as Fiji and South of Fiji The Shoulder blade pains connect to the R side Kuril Islands and the L side is Japan. We have had several quakes in Kuril Islands and we have had at least 3 quakes in Japan, most near the East Coast of Honshu. The very low back pains are the Wasatch and New Madrid.. again there has been activity… there is the List and then there are the ones that have happened since the last update. NM,ID,UT, CO, WY, OK, TX, NC, SC, VA, IL, OH, TN, MO, AZ, MT, KS * these are the ones I listed last update and this is the ones that have had multiple hits. Quakes in NM, MT, TX, OK, SC, OH ID, WY, Leg pains: The L Leg pains are Guatemala and Ecuador. There has been quakes in Ecuador and Guatemala and there is the Reventador volcano erupting in Ecuador. This mostly is the knee and the thigh area. The R leg includes knee and Calf pains and hip pains. As well as quakes in Peru, Brazil, Columbia, Panama and Costa Rica. There has been quakes in Peru and Columbia and Costa Rica, plus the Poas volcano is erupting in Costa Rica. The pains continue so the activity is likely going to continue as well. Heart: The sharp chest pains are mostly connected to activity in Southern CA and especially Mexico and parts of Imperial Valley, Landers Quake Zone, Palm Springs, Whittier, Pasadena and Burbank…Northridge etc. There can be sharp chest pains with most of the areas of the Imperial Valley.. Temecula, El Centro, Brawley, Westmoreland Mexicali,Calexico Gulf of CA and Baja CA MX. There can be sharp chest pains with Italy and Hawaii as well as India/Nepal and Myanmar. Japan quakes over 6.5 will also cause sharp chest pains. Achy chest pains are mostly Oregon, Washington, Northern and Central CA and are both inland and offshore. This can also include quakes in Philippines, Alaska, Iceland, Azores etc. The Geysers of Northern CA as well as the geothermal areas and Mammoth Lakes, Bishop and Coalinga South. Most of these events are of volcanic origin. Stomach Pains: These are primarily caused by volcanic activity and geothermal events. This goes with The Geysers and Healdsburg, Cloverdale, Mammoth Lakes and Bishop as well as Coalinga. The stomach pains are also part of the Cascades of WA and OR as well as quakes inland and offshore Northern and Central CA. The quakes in WA can be connected to most areas and I have been watching the Tri-Cities area and Bremerton both are locations where there is a lot of geothermal exploration happening. The quakes in Oregon tend to be inland and offshore mostly along and offshore the Southern OR Coast. The Cascades including Mt St. Helen’s Mt.Rainier, and Mt.Hood all seem to cause the stomach pains. The last area that causes stomach pains is the Wasatch and New Madrid Fault.. These are mostly the same locations as listed in the area of back pains but I will high light the states NM,ID,UT, CO, WY, OK, TX, NC, SC, VA, IL, OH, TN, MO, AZ, MT, KS * these are the ones I listed last update and this is the ones that have had m multiple hits.Quakes in NM, MT, TX, OK, SC, OH ID, WY, …. the ones which cause the most stomach pains are ID, UT, MT, WY,MT, OK, NM, AZ and IL and sometimes TX but all of them cause the stomach pains and low back pains. These are the most likely to cause seismic flu * the instant onset of stomach or intestinal flu symptoms that come and go with 12 hrs to 24 hrs without a fever. Ribs: The L ribs are Oceania and include AU, NZ, PNG and Kermadec Islands. Quakes have recently hit the areas of AU, NZ, PNG and The Kermadec Islands. This includes N and S Islands as well as New Britain, Eastern New Guinea and New Ireland PNG. The R ribs are the Domino Islands.. this is Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and others as in the chart below but these are the ones that have been most active this week. Ears: The R earache is part of activity in Philippines, Alaska, Iceland, and Azores. As well as some of the quakes will cause both ears to react.. such as quakes happening in Italy, Sicily, Greece and Crete as well as Hawaii and the areas of Palm Springs, Whittier, Pasadena and Burbank. Large water events will cause the ears to feel full, pressured and plugged up like you have a cold or you are climbing in elevation. Eruptions will also cause the ears to hurt. Vision: Eyes have been about the same today.. not as blurry as yesterday but still difficult to see the computer screen and cell phone screen clearly. Solar Connections: The solar symptoms as listed above are mostly in the form of waiting to see if there is going to be a filament fly off the solar disk. I have been feeling the halo or filament events building for about 1-2 days so whatever is going to happen should show up soon. The Chile Connection: So much activity in Chile and there has been shootings, road rage, suicides and domestic violence on the local news and neighborhood news. |
| Where Next: Northern and Central CA is up to 433 quakes. Turkey definitely, finally hit.. Japan, Mexico, Chile, India/Myanmar still due to hit these areas. Still expecting aftershocks in Australia, Tonga, Eastern New Guinea PNG, Vanuatu and Java Indonesia will all likely experience more quakes in the form of a/s will Turkey most likely Western Turkey. Chile Bolivia and Argentina all tend to cause the same kind of symptoms as The Chile Connection. Still expecting some change in activity in Japan, Chile, Mexico and or more in Turkey. |

Since the actual date was yesterday the true Anniversary date is past
but these events can happen up to a week before and a week after.
This one was interesting and made a believer out of many people I had spoken
to before the event. So I always monitor that area quite closely. Thanks
