Heads Up Solar Storm Coming

For those who are sensitive to the solar activity ” Solar Flu ” this was sent to me via NOAA * Space Weather *… SOLAR SECTOR BOUNDARY CROSSING: Later today, Nov. 20th, Earth is expected to cross through a fold in the hemispheric current sheet. This “solar sector boundary crossing” could cause geomagnetic unrest around the poles. Arctic sky watchers should be alert for Northern Lights.

RETURN OF THE BIG CORONAL HOLE: At the end of October, a hole in the sun’s atmosphere lashed Earth’s magnetic field with solar wind, sparking moderately-strong geomagnetic storms and almost a full week of Arctic auroras. Coronal Hole Update / Storm Watch

Good evening. Below is an updated look at a pair of coronal holes (35 and 36), now about to turn into a geo-effective Earth facing position. A high speed solar wind stream flowing from the southern sector of CH35, along with CH36 is expected to reach Earth by November 22nd. A minor (G1) geomagnetic storm watch will be in effect beginning late Monday. High latitude sky watchers should be alert for visual aurora.
